Paris Invader

If you look up while walking along the streets of Paris, just above the buildings’ large double doors and the city’s classic blue-and-white street signs, chances are you’ll eventually see a piece by French urban artist Invader. To celebrate his 1000th ceramic, Invader just unveiled an exhibit at La Générale chronicling not only his work in the streets, but also displaying a wide variety of pieces such as album cover mosaics, neon signs in the Space Invader’s effigy and – most surprising of all – a life-size reproduction of an iconic photo of Revs and Cost, a piece which will benefit a documentary about the graffiti legends. Check out some photos from the exhibit along with some Invader pieces in their natural habitat in the streets of Paris.
