by The JESS3 team loves artists. Their pioneering spirit, the narratives that are contained within their work, and the sheer beauty of what they do. This week, we’re paying special attention to Brazilian artist Henrique Oliveira.
Oliveira came to his art in an unusual way. At first a painter, he started out in a studio in his hometown, beside his father’s old woodworking shop. Perhaps the materials in the shop spoke to him, because he eventually began “painting” with wood, building huge installations that still retain a sense of brushwork.
