Johnny Depp brings Hunter S. Thompson to life again in The Rum Diary

The work, of course, is full of the mind-altering debauchery the author is most well known for. Fans will be delighted to hear that Johnny Depp will once again be playing the alcohol fueled, reckless journalist of Thompson’s twisted imagination, but the obvious question is: how will this compare to Depp’s last stint in a Hunter S. Thompson movie, the cult classic Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas?
