Comic-Con 2011 was an amazing experience! Some highlights included: Seeing Stan Lee, Frank Kozik and Sergio Aragonés up close and personal; the energy of the audience; and looking at the costume details of the passionate masses. I was so excited to see the enthusiasm in a group that ranged from working class fanboys to middle class yuppies. It was awesome!
Basically the whole experience can be broken into 3 buckets:
1) Floor sales: This experience felt like the Simpsons Comic Book Guy character’s shop x 100.
2) Workshop sessions: I somehow missed out on these because the lines seemed daunting. But, I did poke my head in a couple and it reminded me of SXSW.
3) The outside marketing worlds: For instance, this year South Park had a parking lot version of the show, complete with food line.
Can’t wait to go back next year!
