Tackling Cystic Fibrosis with Samsung and Sears

It’s no secret that we are passionate about a number of things here at JESS3 – social media, great UX, and beautiful data visualizations are three that come to mind. We also strive to work with companies and people who are also passionate, be it about their product, service or cause. When Samsung gave us the opportunity to support their social action campaign with partner Sears Electronics to raise awareness about Cystic Fibrosis (CF) – we jumped at the opportunity.

To support “Tackle CF,” JESS3 designed an infographic which provides insight and understanding into Cystic Fibrosis, designed and developed a microsite (www.tacklecf.com) to help drive awareness about the cause and customized Samsung’s Slideshare account to help make the Tackle CF content easy to embed and distribute online.

Using social media platforms, Internet users will be able to donate $5 without ever spending a penny in one of 3 ways:
– Sharing the www.tacklecf.com infographic on Facebook.
– Tweeting #TackleCF
– Checking in on Foursquare at any U.S. Sears location or at the Samsung Experience in New York City.

Samsung and Sears Electronics will donate $5 for each action up to $150,000 through December 31,2010 to help fund research for a cure to Cystic Fibrosis, led by the Boomer Esiason Foundation. What are you waiting for?
