As we shift towards more workplaces implementing freelancers into their workflow, it will naturally shift what it means to be a ‘freelancer’ across the world.

Josh Gowen, located in London, created a data graphic which visualises the different work hours of freelancers around the world. Using data gathered by Odesk, you can clearly see that areas such as the Philippines have freelancer’s working around the clock – while areas such as India have a much more defined trend for work hours for freelancers.

What are your thoughts on freelance hours? Should a freelancer be available 24-7? Is a freelancer more effective than a dedicated remote worker? or with the rise of remote work possibilities, should we be focusing on integrating remote workers across the world into a round-the-clock workflow?
